Meet Our Counselors!

Here at Camp Marlin, we understand that while your child may be hairy and have four legs, he/she is still your child and our goal is to provide only the best care for your fur-baby. All of our Camp Counselors go through a rigorous training process to ensure the highest quality daycare experience for you and your pet. We have all grown up loving our pets the way that you love yours, here's some quick bio's so you can understand us a little better!

Sarah: Manager/Groomer

Picture
Sarah has been here at Camp Marlin for over 2 years, but has spent her whole life around dogs. She grew up with show dogs spending nearly every weekend at a show lugging crates, walking dogs and giving baths. As the years went by, rescue rather than beauty became her true passion, and has since rescued 4 dogs of her own. She's also our in-house groomer having spent 4 years apprenticing and assisting under a master pet stylist. She is proficient in all AKC standard breed cuts as well as modified breed cuts and designer cuts. Her passion is dogs and knows that the most rewarding thing about Camp Marlin is seeing how the dogs blossom into the best versions of themselves. She has such high hopes for the future of Camp Marlin, the clients, both 4-legged and 2-legged, and especially for Spa Marlin, which was envisioned so that she could better serve all of your pet's grooming needs in a kennel-free environment. Please feel free to come to her with all of your questions and concerns about daycare or grooming.

Lindsey: Camp Counselor

Picture
Lindsey is currently a full-time student at Santa Fe College, and in the process of earning her AA in Biological Science. She will soon transfer to the University of Florida where she hopes to enter the College of Veterinary Medicine. Lindsey has been working with animals all her life. She grew up on a farm that had everything from cats and dogs to iguanas and parrots, and could ride a horse before she could walk. For most of her life, her dad was the Foreman of a dairy and she spent most of her weekends riding around with him or helping the girls in the calf yard. Eventually, she got a job working with her dad and spent a year and a half learning how to run IV fluids and medicate calves. Lindsey is currently an intern at Town & Country Vet, and loves every minute of learning about what she wants to spend her life doing. She has a 9 year old Border Collie/Husky mix named Jake, who was rescued from a shelter, that loves to steal her bed from her. Since working at Camp Marlin, she has gotten to know both the dogs and their parents and hopes to spend much more time with them!

Jessica K: Camp Counselor

Picture
Jessica Krzyzanowski is 21 years old, and recently moved to Gainesville from Brazil. It has now been eight months that she has lived here in Florida. She is married, but still does not have any children. At the moment she does not have any animals in her apartment, because her husband is allergic. Which she says makes her is very sad, because she loves animals and would like to have a zoo if possible (without snakes). She is very happy and grateful for the opportunity that she was given to  work at Camp Marlin. Everyday she tells us how she loves her job and has fun here. Jessica tell us how she thinks it is incredible the way Americans treat animals, and how here in camp they have so many perks. She had never  seen ice cream for dogs, or movie days for the dogs, or even birthday parties for the dogs. A quote from Jessica, "I feel like shouting for everyone to bring their dogs to Camp Marlin, because here I know they really have fun, and receive lots of care and love."
